TYLER J. RINNE

Managing Artistic Director

A writer, director, actor and artist, Tyler has been with Community Players since 2011. His tenure as Managing Artistic Director, the chief executive of day-to-day operations, programming, and the organization’s artistic vision, began in 2023. He has directed over 40 productions, including Clue: On Stage, Shipwrecked! An Entertainment, The Lion in Winter, One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, and the youth productions Disney’s Frozen JR., The Hobbit, and The Stinky Cheese Man.


His playwriting credits include the published plays Forest Paths (YouthPLAYS) and The Rest of the West (Pioneer Drama), as well as The Last Ticket out of Thistleberry Thicket and Ginger and Chase Across Time and Space, among others. His yearlong daily comic strip, Pandora’s Boxer Briefs can be read on his website, tylerjrinne.com, where you will also find his podcast, Film Foil, where he and his co-host discuss the last 100 years of movies. An award-winning actor, favorite onstage roles include appearances in Popcorn Falls, The 39 Steps, Hunter Gatherers, and Completely Hollywood (Abridged).


Tyler graduated from Johnson-Brock high school and then the University of Nebraska – Lincoln with a degree in Film & New Media; he now lives in Beatrice. 


NOELLE McVICAR

Associate Artistic Director

An actor, director, choreographer and professional vocalist, Noelle is brand-new to Community Players and is excited to begin her journey with the organization as Associate Artistic Director. Noelle has a wealth of experience as a professional performer and director. Recently, she directed and choreographed Little Shop of Horrors, the inaugural production for the exclusively teen programming at the Youth Actors Academy of Lincoln. Some of her favorite directing and choreography credits include Spamalot, The Addams Family, and Matilda JR.


In Noelle’s minimal free time, she is an avid thrifter, podcast listener, reality TV viewer, and yoga and dog lover. Noelle is an Audition and Pageant coach with Docters Office Vocal Coaching. 


Noelle is originally from Fargo, ND where she began performing at age eight and continued until she graduated. She is a proud alumni of Trollwood Performing Arts School and Act Up
Theatre. Her love of community and performance prompted her to pursue theater professionally. She graduated with her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Performance at Drake University.



JOSHUA HERGOTT

Patron Services Manager

With a background and deep care for hospitality, Joshua Hergott is happy to assist any patron's needs. Having joined the team recently, he is thrilled to be a part of the theatre and the community as a whole. Joshua has done just a touch of stage acting in Sister Act, Alice in Wonderland, and Freak.

 

When he’s away from his desk, Joshua enjoys watching films, trying to cook, stargazing, and playing the occasional video game. He is a published film critic, with his work appearing in the Columbus Telegram and across social media.

 

Joshua is fresh out of Columbus, NE where he was born and raised. His interest in the arts and acts of service led him to Beatrice, where he looks forward to learning from and being involved with the theatre. 



ASHLEY HOTHAN

Costume Librarian

Ashley Hothan has been the Costume Librarian since 2021. She is in charge of keeping the costumes in the basement organized and managing rentals and donations, as well as costuming a few mainstage shows per season. 


She is an active volunteer at the theatre as well, having helped in numerous areas: acting, stage management, lights and sound, and serving as the hair and makeup coordinator on the production team to name a few. Some of her notable onstage appearances include The Rainmaker, The Lion In Winter, A Murder is Announced, Lucky Stiff, Clue, and the documentary theatre project, Gage County, NE. 


When she's not at the theatre, Ashley enjoys spending time with her friends and family, crafting, collecting vintage clothing, and creating makeup and fashion looks. She is proud to be a part of this organization and looks forward to many more years of pursuing her greatest passion, the theatre.
